In terms of the generated sales value of the entire wine group (with categories, such as table wines, sparkling wines and champagnes, dessert wines, vermouths and wine-like beverages), the year 2017 can be considered successful. In comparison with 2016, this group recorded an increase of nearly 10%. In addition to vermouths, all other wine categories included in the above classification are developing well. Dessert wines are significantly different, which, due to new fruit aromatised wine variants supplying the new CEDC portfolio, have increased their sales by 1/3 over the last year.

Table wines are the most important segment of wines in terms of value – understood as non-fortified and not aromatised grape wines. In 2017, they accounted for over 50% of turnover from sales of all wines in small format stores up to 300 m2. Similarly to dessert wines, both in terms of the generated sales value and the sold volume, they are characterized by a dynamic growth (increases by 10% and 8% respectively, compared to 2016), although quite constricted growth due to the more dynamically developing dessert wine market, which is currently focused on new variants – resembling a typical table wine with appearance and flavour, but with an admixture of fruit juices.
