Out of 163 alcohol brands in the Millionaire Club 2017, there are as many as 52 whiskies in the list. The result is by one position worse than last year. Four brands of the “golden spirit” were in the top ten of the ranking and as many as twenty one in the first fifty.
Just like last year, the list of millionaires is headed by the Jinro (Hite-Jinro) brand, namely the soju-category alcoholic beverage from South Korea. The second place goes to India’s Officer’s Choice whisky (Allied Blenders & Distillers), despite the fact that it recorded a drop in sales.

Interestingly, the next three places in the group of “golden spirits” are also represented by the products of India – McDowell’s No.1 (Diageo/United Spirits), Imperial Blue (Pernod Ricard) and Royal Stag (Pernod Ricard). In fact, there are as many as 17 brands from India on the list!
The Scottish Johnnie Walker (Diageo/United Spirits) is only in the fifth position of the list. We have a total of 21 spirits from Scotland here. The sixth on the list, namely Jack Daniel’s (Brown-Forman), is best among American whiskies. In total, we have six brands from the United States. There are four products are from Canada. Crown Royal (Diageo) is the strongest brand among the Canadian “water of life.” There are still 2 products from Ireland and Japan. Here, Jameson (Pernod Ricard) and Suntory Kakubin (Beam Suntory) perform best on the market.
